Ian, you seem to have the talent to make landscape images that are awesome yet go beyond the "usual-sunset-at-the-sea-with-rock-bolder-in-the-foreground-and-splendid use of the-ND-Grad-filter" landscape. Personal I like those as well quit a lot, however I'm mostly surprised how you can pull it of in making a "regular" and at first glance ease photo oppurtunity into somefink special.

I think many will think of this as an rdinary" holyday snap 'cause it looks so simple and ordinary, however I'm sure many would fail getting a image liek this. Anyway, now for the critique: the brush of grass in the left-down corner seems a bit out of order to me. But for the rest not much wrong with this image.

Highly underrated in my opinion

regards,

Marc

Thank you Marc. These pictures do have a bread and butter look about them. They are considerably less dramatic than ultra wide angle shots and those taken in the twilight hours that are much more regularly featured on this site. Occasionally I find it refreshing to work with less outrageous light and simply use what I'm given in the best way I can. The photograph conjures up a vivid memory of a remarkably pleasant morning and I hope that feeling is successfully conveyed. Alas it will never earn the striking high marks of those with synthesised drama.
