Guest Guest Posted April 10, 2006 Very well seen, Alexandre. Nothing to critique about the composition, it's a clever one. In a first look, I wish just more contrast but I'm wondering if, in fact, the softness of this sepia isn't the most suitable one... Well, don't change a thing! : ) Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Hi Yann, you are right about the contrast, I wanted more of it. Thing is, I have been very frustrated for being limited to edit my photos in my crappy laptop screen. And here is another example of a photo that looked good in the laptop, but now looking at it here at work in my desktop computer (CRT monitor) I can see big differences, namely the contrast... Thanks for pointing it out. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 10, 2006 Good composition. I particularly like how the lines in the roof parallel the gangplank (?). Wish the man were just a step or two higher up, but good that you caught them both. The spire in the middle is a wonderful detail. Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 12, 2006 This is a classic picture; the spire of the building in the center acting like a fulcrum and balancing the composition. Excellent in every way. Link to comment
siyeouki 0 Posted April 12, 2006 It's true this picture imposes itself as a classic. No doubts about it. Strong composition well balanced where every element has its place, an interesting subject, and a nice tonal range. This picture is a complete success. Bravo! Regards. Max. Link to comment
