romeyer.jp 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Usually I am not found of macro...but this is superb, Kim. Sharpness is astonishing with a lot of detail on the wings. I also like to see the background, which makes this shot a different macro, and places the insect in a living environment. Very good shot for me, maybe could you even increase contrast a little to enhance these nice colours Cheers JP Link to comment
diane_g 0 Posted April 7, 2006 Hi Kim, What you saw in your garden is a Bee Fly. Very nice photograph of one of my favorite insects. Thank you for sharing! Deb Link to comment

noehguy 0 Posted April 10, 2006 Your eye is good, but your lens is not... In fact, I do not know exactly what happens with your photos, but I think something is not working correctly. Your images have "grain", as we say in french. Did you apply a filter on the image, on your PC, or did you make a 400 or 800 ISO choice ? Or something else ? Your image is superb, but it could be fantastic ! Could you tell more about it/them ? (I had the same feeling with your nice LadyBug...) Link to comment
kimallsebrook 0 Posted April 14, 2006 Thank you for your critiques. Guy, lenses do not cause grain or noise (it's a digital image therefore grain would not apply). I sharpened the image with photoshop cs and am very happy with the outcome. Kim :o) Link to comment
