es, I agree with Spencer. I think with flower shots you have to be able to really capture the virbriant colors and get the right amount of contrast, and you have done that well in this shot Ellen.

Your roses are beautiful. I really like that you've focused on the yellow one and let the red one blur in the background somewhat. The red is still rich and comes through beautifully in an understated way that doesn't take away from the beauty of the yellow. Really nice.

Well Ellen, I'm not sure you'll even see this, since you rightfully attracted so many comments and critiques. But nonetheless, it's simply beautiful. The colors are just superb, the placement is exquisite. Constrast, great bokeh... a recipe for beauty. Ah, add in a good eye like yours. Now you have it. Bravo!
