corbin 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Nice, happy picture. Are these Red Hat Ladies? I have run into a few of their outings during my travels, especially in the South. They always seem to have so much fun. Link to comment

afterthoughts 0 Posted April 5, 2006 Claude, yes they are the Red Hat ladies. I will post some color images shortly. To everyone else, I am happy that you enjoyed the photograph. Thanks for your comments. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 5, 2006 Tremendous in all respects. The composition is wonderful in every detail, and the image as a whole supports interpretation along several dimensions. Beyond that, it's just plain fun to look at. (What's the bag-like thing behind them in the street car (?), by the way?) An excellent capture, excellent timing. Link to comment
bradkim 8 Posted April 5, 2006 What a happy photo! All of them seem to be in merrily, merrily mood.... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted April 5, 2006 A happy shot! I bet this is one of those shots that needs to be in color, though, especially if they are Red Hat Ladies. It will be interesting to compare to the color versions. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 6, 2006 I knew nothing about the red hat society until five minutes ago. Sounds like a lot of fun. No wonder they're smiling. Link to comment
Phil_Light 794 Posted June 2, 2006 Wondered if these were the women of the Red Hat Society? Can't tell from the image if they are? They try and wear purple with a distinctive red hat. You might know about them as inspired by a famous poem which inspires a woman to wear more purple and basically go for the gusto! These women definitely look like they're enjoying life with more colors and in the appreciative lane! Excellent capture. Link to comment
