Gate To The Dark Age 2

When it comes to elaborating an image, I don't think it's so much a matter of right or wrong, as simply getting it the way that satisifies you.

 

I like this sky better than the previous version, but really that's a question of my personal taste. That said, there's still a lot of gloomy detail in the sky you could, if you wanted, bring out. There's a difficult nondestructive way of doing it -- mask out the sky and then tweak the curves. Or a simple destructive way. Grab the burn tool, set it to "midtones," and burn away. That's what I did in the attachment. I also darkened the upper corners, burned in the foreground and used the dodge tool to lighten the castle wall (probably too light, in fact), as well as a bit of curves tweaking.

 

Anyway, you've got such an excellent photo that it's worth investing some time experimenting until you get it the way YOU like it. --jim

Super cadrul/ compozitia, si titlul care se potriveste perfect. Interesanta si varianta a doua, insa nu mai are aceasi rezonanta titlul initial.
