Rue du Reverie

jimmcnitt

Nikon 990, Paris 2000. Bluring, toning, a dumpster & shadows removed, cobblestones added, etc. This is on its fourth revision in as many yeas and is finally starting to feel right.

Does this correspond to the look and feel of any of your recollected dream imagery?

Comments welcome and appreciated.

Well, just don't wake the neighbors. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. This scene has always had pleasant associations for me, but obviously not for everyone. Thanks again. --jim

The color and feel of dusk is prominent in my dreams. You've captured something that I have tried to describe but words fail to describe. Thanks! elisabeth

Usually my dreams are more colourfull than this. But your picture reminds me of hot, dusty summer afternoons in Bucharest. There are streets that look just like this. If the image itself doesn't appeal to my dream recollections, i must say that the feelings it inspires are those many have only in dreams: an intense feeling of peace, of beauty, of love.It is a wonderfull photograph to start dreaming from.

A feeling of a dream my dear JimDali :) I would be very much scarred to walk in this empty street! and I am kinda sea sick because of the perspective and angle, but I like the light on the building!

Yeah, my heart and respiratory rates are seen to rise right away after seeing this. Luckily I do not remember nightmares the next morning. Jim, Title goes well with this image. Best Regards

When I remember my dreams it's always with people in the sceenes.

Here, I could be running or trying to catch someone just around the bend. I like how the darkness to the left and how the perspective leads me in to the brightness and almost shivering tilted walls. It's a dream about struggling, trying hard to get there.

This one should be a real big wallpaper. Art. // Jan Olof

I'm sneaking into your street Jim, looks like you are hiding around the corner... LOL...

Interesting angle.

Nice composition, Jim. I get the feeling one can walk from the darkness into the light and find something special around the corner.

Masterfully done, Jim. The tones are very soft, almost mystical or transcendental. The entire effect is very pleasing.
