jan symank 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Very nice portrait by a loving mother ! The softness fits very well. Congrats and regards, Jan Link to comment
sharshar 0 Posted April 3, 2006 thank you for the compliment. I am proud, there is no doubt, but I am not his Mommy. I was his Nanny for 6 years, and now he goes to school, and I don't get to see him everyday like I did. But occasionally he comes to stay all nite and we get to hang out together. He is my guy. will king 0 Posted April 4, 2006 Hi Sharon. Is this your son? This photo has a dreamy feel to it. I like the B&W conversion, has good tonal range. Let me give you a tip someone gave me that has been really helpful to me with portrait shots. The softness works here but not on the eyes. So what you do is before apply the softness, create a duplicate layer in PS. Apply the softness on the dup layer and then use your erase tool over the eyes so they remain sharp. I've used this technique and it's great. Really makes the eyes stand out and that's the most important thing in a portrait. Let me know if you try it and if it works. Link to comment
sharshar 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I will try that technique, sounds great! This is not my son, he's more like my Grandson but not by birth, by love. Link to comment
