I gave you 7/7. The tones are rich and vary from one end of the spectrum to the other. Esthetically, it's a rare thing when you can take common electrical components and turn it into art work! Very interesting and very pleasing!

Very good eye!

What a charming collection of fixtures and widgets! I enjoy this sort of shot and the sense of place it evokes. B&W is just right for this. I'm not sure, but in this one I'd be tempted to crop most of the top above the hanging things. Obviously, you intentionally placed the vent in the composition, but I'm wondering -- maybe -- if the image would be strengthened by cropping it.

Hey! How did you get a shot of my studio lighting rig?

But seriously, the hardware nerd in me enjoys that someone else's eye was drawn to something like this. Fun.

A very interesting and funny subject matter. A very sober angle and a simple descriptive approach that fits this subject. But shooting with the lens parallel to the subject, while being almost "necessary", has its drawbacks : the picture tends to look fairly flat of course, which is why I feel 2 things could have improved this : 1) Perhaps the B&W could provide better contrast in the dark grey areas, and 2) shooting this under harsh sun with some nice shadows would add some depth. What do you think ? Thanks once again for your detailed comment. Cheers !

Marc: Thank you for making the time to look and comment.

Yes, the image is flat. Perhaps better post processing could help. Were I to process it now (instead of where I was on the learning curve then), I probably would try adding more local contrast, especially in the darker areas.

This shot came from a 'field trip' of a local photo club (not my usual cup of tea) when we went (on a dark grey day) to a local old farmstead to see and compare what we could find to see. Two others from that afternoon are this , and this. This collection of stuff hanging on the wall caught my eye, especially the circular objects. Thus the black and white rendering to concentrate on the shapes. For sure, to go back and retake it on a sunny day with directional light would have given a different photo with more drama, but I was not that interested in it to do it.

Please tolerate my rambling, and thanks again for your time.
