f1-fanatic 0 Posted March 31, 2006 No photoshop used.. This was all done in-camera! With that being said, I would love to hear your thoughts. Love it? Hate it? Let me know. Link to comment
seandepuydt 2 Posted March 31, 2006 Norman, breathing heavily on your lens will cause some people to think. I'm not on a very good monitor so I will have to check this out in the morning. :) Link to comment
rellimkm 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Love it. This is the first good shot I have seen from a lensbaby. Most of them are just people playing around. I think the effect is awsome here. Link to comment
f1-fanatic 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Let me know how it looks on the other monitor. Thanks again for taking the time to view my photos. I appreciate it a great deal when someone takes the time to comment because that's the only way I learn and ultimately improve. Link to comment
f1-fanatic 0 Posted March 31, 2006 Thank you for you kind words. I wanted to pick up a Lensbaby after reading about it and finally saw one in a shop here in NY. I had my camera with me and they let me mount it to play around. Needless to say, it's really a lot of fun to experiment with but almost all of the shots I saw were macro or near field related which couldn't be farther from what I shoot. Anyway, I took a few shots in the store and varying distances and thought this could work for what I had in mind and bought it. The image above was one of the first 10 shots taken after buying and mounting it! It's a lot of fun, and maybe next time I will drop in one of the aperture discs (I didn't even stop down the lens). Thanks again. -Norman Link to comment
grillot 0 Posted April 12, 2006 is an understatement. I hold with the utmost respect photographers who capture images with their camera.. a lot of what we see is fantastic art and manipulated design. Thanks for sharing.. Can you let me know how you do the borders though. Link to comment
f1-fanatic 0 Posted April 13, 2006 Thank you very much. As for the borders... Check your Email Link to comment
white3designs 0 Posted May 19, 2006 I just had to sit back and feel this photograph. There are not enough words to express the feeling I have for this shot. I too, would love to know how you did it and the borders as well!Absolutely Fabulous!7/7Troy Link to comment
f1-fanatic 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Wow.. Thank you for your kind words.. I realy appreciate it so thanks again. As for how I too the picture. I used a lens called a "lensbaby". It's a manual focus lens that you push and pull to attain focus and then "bend" to select a focus point which causes extreme falloff of the focal plane so that the only area that remains in focus is what you want and everything else into the bokeah of the shallow DOF. It's a little bit of a handfull, but I like it. As for the borders, I will send you an Email with some instructions as to how I do it. -Norman Link to comment
