distantvoice 0 Posted March 29, 2006 Beautiful light. Composition breaks some rules (the position of the sun) and thanks to that this photograph is even more interesting. Very original and aesthetic image. I think I would rather use panoramic format as the blue sky is a little bit distracting but that of course is a matter of taste. Regards, Michal. Link to comment
labuenaluz 0 Posted March 29, 2006 Thank you Michal, your feedback is really appreciated, allways 8^) I enjoyed the interaction of symetry between cloud mass and foreground silouette, I think the blue sky adds some contrast as volume too, regards Link to comment
paprika 0 Posted March 30, 2006 I scrolled down the image, cutting of the blue sky. It was too much yellow, the blue definitely add too the picture. Only thing I would change a little cropping from the top where the diagonal lines of the clouds turn to vertical (top right corner). You have the four dark corner so the eye doesnt wondering out of the picture and the lightes point is close to the focus of interest. Good composition. Link to comment
distantvoice 0 Posted March 30, 2006 Ferrando, I have not seen this symmetry earlier but now after your remark I think you are right - the sky adds to the composition. I would write that you were lucky with this light and the cloud position but knowing your portfolio I think you had recognized the chances for such a composition an hour before taking this photo and you had just waited behind your tripod ;-) . bille 0 Posted April 19, 2006 Great composition with the three diagonally running bands (sky, cloud, snow covered mountain) and the juxtaposition of the cold snow and the warm-looking sun lit cloud. Link to comment
leighperry 0 Posted April 28, 2006 Rafael, this is a nicely constructed composition with great lighting. My only question relates to the main tree -- I would have expected it to be more silhouetted, but maybe its luminosity is due to translucence of the snow? The foreground snow lighting is beautiful. labuenaluz 0 Posted May 4, 2006 Your generous feedback is really appreciated Michal I was lucky, really 8^), superb conditions flowing in a wonderfull place, I did not stop moving and searching for posible compositions, no more than three minutes with my tripod set!, if you watch carefully you can see my footprints wondering around the pine just before this scene, I came from the lower left behind the arette. Really thank you again! Chaba, I kind of enjoyed the vertical interaction in between the region you mention and the main tree, maintaining the full frame on scene, I did succeed with another take a minute after where the cloud diagonal is complete as you mentioned, thank you Brad, Frank, Michael thank you! Thank you Leigh, dont understand exactly the silhouette theme you mention, I tried to expose as bright as I could without washing or overexposure though, regards Link to comment
