I nearly fall in the illusion, perfect quality of light and clever composition, Jim, cheers Jana

btw I have never mastered the colourful butterfly wings on schnitzels. There is a limit of my skills when it comes to transform a phantasy into a pleasing image.

Surprising shot, Jim. I noticed the female form immediately, but believe it or not, my hubby didn't see it at all until I pointed it out. He was admiring the lighting. Of course, he was sitting at a little bit of a distance, but still, it tells you how well done this image is when flowers and body parts look as one.

The idea of substituting plants for body parts (and vice versa) dates back at least to the

Italian Renaisance painter Giuseppe Arcimboldi. The idea of disguising the female anatomy

through edge lighting was inspired by an impossibly elegant image by Norbert Felzl. I'm to blame for

the rest.

I love the lighting, but something about the breast bothers me. It looks to me like an elbow with a nipple stuck on it, no offense to whomever's it is.

Sean, that's my fault, not the model. The upper chest has been composited to match the curvature of the lilies.

The lighting on the liles was done with three softboxes, the model was shot using a 20-degree honeycomb filter on a single strobe head that was then fired through a thin white nylon umbrella. --jim

Hi jim,

Its a fine, good idea:-))

If I may: the breast is disapearing to much in the background.

In Photoshop CS2, with image ajustment "highlights & shadows" is easely to corect.

You should give a try.

Best regards, Ben
