Should there be anyone lookingfor my more daring work, you can always do a search for me on photopoints orphotosig where I have uploaded some of mydeleted images and where I will be uploading more soon.

You sure have gotten a lot of ratings on this one, but no one seems to want to comment on it.

 

On the whole, I like this lot, especially the skin tones and the textures in the image from...ummm...let's say from the model's hips up.

 

Two small quibbles, if you don't mind. The complete lack of detail in the foreground makes the camera look almost pasted into the shot. I'd like to see a bit more of the fabric's texture in that area.

 

The other thing is, for this shot I think I would have left off your trademark wide black border, and just let the negative's rebate be the border. The extra black has the effect of sort of smothering the image for me.

 

All that said, I'm glad to see some more b&w from you.

Jim, The quality of your comment sure made up for any others that I might have received. I pretty much agree with everything you said and may indeed take a lot of it onboard before I upload any scans in future.

 

This will be my last posting on P.N, for a little while at least. I look forward to seeing more of your images later. Thanks again!

I have to agree with Jim's comments especially the one about texture in the fore ground. The model is lovely as is the pose.

 

What format camera did you use here? Keep in touch.

Owen, I did actualy think of cropping this after seeing the scan from the contact print. The texture in the foreground is a touch more evident in the print than in this scan although the point that you and Jim make is valid.

 

The format is 6cm x 4.5cm taken with a Mamiya 645 pro.

Alec, I have no intention to stop posting on pn. However, you may like to look at this thread for some background.

I tried to photograph women, I never had any luck. I approached this girl and I said, "I want to photograph you naked" to my surprise, she said yes. wow.

So I got all the lights together, checked my exposure and the next thing she did was freak out when I started taking off MY clothes. Stupid girls. I asked her if I could keep my socks on, I needed a place to store my lens cap.

 

Well done artistic shot my friend, your entire portfolio is nicely put together.
