cappoldt 0 Posted March 27, 2006 Wow - look at the eye on that Towhee. Maybe I'll shoot out there Friday if the weather's good. Nice, Dmitry! Were they eating out of your hand? Link to comment
dmozzherin 0 Posted March 27, 2006 Chris, B, thank you for your comments! Chris, congratulations on your new camera! D200 is a magnificent beast. My friend let me play with his D200 for a week. I spent all my scotch tape and super glue trying to connect Canon lenses to this camera but in vain :) That would be an optimal solution for me-- D200 and Canon's 500mm IS lens. For this particular shot I put some sunflower seeds on the trunk, and it resulted in some interspecies' conflicts as you can see. The day was quite windy and it added to the fun. I looks as if the towhee tries to mock the cardinal. I'd like to go there again, let me know if you will decide to drive there on Friday, I'd join you. Link to comment
cappoldt 0 Posted March 27, 2006 Dmitry, fair enough! I may be side-swiping to NYC on Friday, but will call you when I know for certain - if not, EVERY Friday, especially in the spring as the migration starts (that Towhee just got here, I'm certain), I'm game for late afternoon shoots! And yup, the D200 is a doozie - loving it! You can covet mine all you like, if I can covet your 500mm? Link to comment
