wow! what is the background?

I love this shot on so many levels.

 

The intense green pulls me in; the ducks - I think ducks are hilarious - draw me down from above; the grain of the green surface and the angle at which the ducks are walking mesh nicely.

 

The fine border adds a quietly elegant finishing touch.

The color of the background is real! It was a St. Patrick day celebration in Chicago. They painted the river in the green color.
