Cushioning the Blow

Similar to an earlier shot! Different lighting!

Should there be anyone lookingfor my more daring work, you can always do a search for me on photopoints orphotosig where I have uploaded some of mydeleted images and where I will be uploading more soon.

I like the image a lot but the colors don't do it for me. The diagonal (tilt) works well and the placement of the pillow are all strong. I am not sure about purple and green against her pale skin.

 

You will hate me for this but this would be a killer in black and white with a tweek in thwe contrast. All that said it is a "McCracken Image" and that is always a good thing.

 

Let me know when to send the bottle and where to send it.

Owen, Thanks for your honest input. It really is good to receive comments. I would summise that the lack of comments suggest that this has not been too well received, perhaps for the reasons you mention. Maybe I will post a black and white version later to see what others think.

... and you dare to call my couch sickly! Seriously though, olive is a bad colour against skin, probably purple too .. makes a woman look .. er .. sickly. Good tilt and rising V shape. Always a sign of optimism.

John, Point taken... I will take Owen's and your advice and post it in black and white!

I'm going to have to cast my vote against the colors, too, David. And maybe it's the combination of colors, but on this one (unlike a lot of your others) the wide black border really bothers me. The model looks a bit apprehensive to me.

Jim, Posting here is good. It does let me judge the reaction to photos. I wish more people on this site would do it. With regard to the colours, you agree with the others and so I won't go there. Now that you mention it, I do see a little apprehension in the model. This was here first shoot. I do have other photos of her where she looks more relaxed. I will see if she will let me upload them.
