This is a beautiful photo. The reflection is what really caught my eye. The water looks like glass. Tech wise, sharp and the composition is excellent. Good work.

I really love the colours in this picture. Nice eye. Really interesting play of lines moving across each other in different directions.

Thank you everyone! I am posting the original and have outlined the crop I used for the final image. It was a beautiful sunny day in March with everything melting all around. This image was taken during a walk in the country, the water is in a flooded field and is only an inch or two in depth with snow and grass showing through. The lines that you noticed Marc are the irregular melting of snow. I went looking for reflections that day and being surrounded by them came back with plenty of shots but nothing very special until I started to play.

Thanks, Andrea, Marc, Adolfo, Conte and Shuki, you made my day!

Ken , thanks a lot for the visit. It's really nice to see you.

Jay, I have been playing with a few photos like this and I kind of liked how this one turned out. I'm so happy to get your appoval!

Pnina, yes, mood is what I was after and the original had none. I find the transformation sets us in a completely different place. Thanks pointing that out.

Cherlyn, I totally agree that the posting is better than the original. Phew! I'm glad you dropped by.

Leann, so happy to have impressed you. I was very happy also with the results so I could share this little hint of the end of winter with you. Two days later everything was frozen over.

Spencer, how nice to see you! It was quite an easy choice for cropping actually. Because I forgot to take one of the most essential pieces of equipment with me that day, rubber boots, - Leann taught me that one :-)- I couldn't get in very close for my shots and so they were taken from a distance. Great to have the new camera and have enough pixels left for a good image; of course a better lens would help me too. Very glad this met with your approval.

Kim, you isolated the most attractive detail. The gentle rippling movement, the light, and the horizontal crop give the image an enchanted atmosphere.

Kim~ You certainly pulled and corrected the right section of your photograph. This is done very well. Nice reflections, ripples and color.

Paula and Jacqueline, it was so nice of you to drop by. I'm glad you agreed with my choice of crop. It was a fun exercise to see if I could change the lighting and make it look real.

That is amazing to me that you got this from your crop.

Thank you for sharing it.

I suppose that is why we should save even the ones we believe to be bad.Great example why. And WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN >No photos from you lately. Hope all is well.

Kim B.,Pulok, David and Heather. I am grateful to have such nice comments from you on this creation. I admire all of your work so much!

Heather, yes I do keep a lot of bad or "so so" shots because I never know what I can accomplish down the road. I was just about to post an image when I received your comment. It's nice to be missed ;-)
