jana 1 Posted March 24, 2006 I wish I could do the same, every evening catching the last sunny rays here, in the desert of Big Bend, Texas. Thanks for stopping by. jana Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted March 25, 2006 Nice use of hilight here Jana. What do you think about the same composition with the aperture wide open for the least dof? That would be my preference. Link to comment
jana 1 Posted March 25, 2006 Thai , very good suggestion. But not so easy to perform. I did have the aperture wide open, but this plant was maybe 3 m high and on a cliff and so you have to have some distance. And then the DOF is not so selective, as you know. Another thing is to do that in PS. And that is what I did just now. Do you like it better? I do, thanks for the idea. thanks Jana Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted March 25, 2006 Wonderful light, Jana. The plant in the foreground looks as if lit. Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted March 27, 2006 Made me think of some sort of neon lighting sculpture! Great lighting and colouring?/contrast between the lime greens and purply blues. The grasses in the background are a subtle complement to the main plant's diagonals. Link to comment
biswajit 0 Posted March 28, 2006 Sparkling and beautiful, nice background,...works well for me. ~Regards. Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted March 28, 2006 I actually like the DOF. A blurrier background would make this shot less distinctive. Link to comment
fhick 0 Posted April 2, 2006 Superb shot. I like the opposition between the yellow plant in foreground and the blue backgroung, and more, few yellow for much blue, the good proportion to make a colored well balanced picture. I agree with the suggestion of Thai Ta about the DOF. Best regards, Fernand Link to comment
