biancavanderwerf 0 Posted March 22, 2006 This is an experiment, no Photoshop... Tell me what you think please, thanks! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 22, 2006 Wow. wow. I think this is a wonder! Her spirit just left her for few seconds. Love this ghosty movement daer Bianca :) Very impressive without PS :) Superb. bravo, Biliana Link to comment
billangel 9,671 Posted March 22, 2006 The technique is excellent, but in my opinion the youth and attractiveness of the model serves to contradict the photo's "message". You might consider trying the shot again, but with a model beginning who is beginning to show the signs of age, and who is not so photogenic. Link to comment
petervannugteren 4 Posted March 22, 2006 Waanzinnig gaaf gedaan Bianca, wordt een machtige serie zo!Complimenten. Link to comment
alones 1 Posted March 22, 2006 Excellent exposure control . I don't think it's the youth as Bill said but the fact she looks too calm/relaxed . she should look with more fear/horrified Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted March 22, 2006 Haha Bill.... That's really funny, you're polishing my feathers! This is a selfportrait... I am not so young anymore..:-)... And not photogenic at all, hihi. But thank you so much. This is also for Alon: I wanted to have a contradiction in this picture (that's why this photo has the name 'silent scream'), you look calm and into focus, but sometimes everything screams inside you, don't you know this feeling? I have another photo in this album from a while back and this looks a bit more agressive. But this one needs to be two faced. Thank you so much for your input. Aswell as Peter and dear Biliana!!!! Greetz! Link to comment
snakecharmer 0 Posted March 23, 2006 This idea is fascinating, and your technique is great. The only suggestion I would make is, the space occupied by the woman's face and her...soul (?) is a little too square the way it is presented. It would have been a little more appealing to me had the less distinct image been on a different plane (either higher or lower) than the more real image. Still very nice work. Link to comment
castro369 0 Posted March 23, 2006 Nice job, I like it how it is. Often times we see a pretty face and forget that we all go through inner struggles and silently screem while projecting a smile or a pretty face to the world around us. Nice capture Bianca, cheers hc. hc Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted March 23, 2006 A totally interesting & refreshing way to present a self portrait. The closing eyes & self engorssed expression reflects your caption very well. Link to comment
biancavanderwerf 0 Posted March 23, 2006 Hahaha, okay Jenny.. next time when I hold the light, work the camera, try to model and share my feelings, I'll think of your suggestion... :-)... Just kidding. You have a point. I have some, but they were not sharp enough... Maybe in another experiment, haha. Thank you Harvey and Sherlyn! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 23, 2006 I thought it was YOU dear Bianca, your selfportrait :) but I could not recognize you so well ha ha :) I love this scarry screaming face of yours and then the calm one :) Only I was thinking now, while looking again, maybe next time you have to do it the opposite way, meaning that the calm/still expression is on left and then the ghosty screamy face would jump out of you to the right side and upper :) ha ha just a thought ... wow.. I can make a concept here with your photograph daer Bianca! I like what you have done, and I am waiting for more of your lovely experiments dear Friend :) Biliana Link to comment
alones 1 Posted March 23, 2006 That's exactly what I meant . Like in the photo "innerscream!" you posted before . there the expression is soooo strong and gives the feeling of horror Link to comment
dexdee 0 Posted March 23, 2006 Good work Bianca. Good idea and good expression from both faces. DDD Link to comment
michaelseewald 237 Posted March 24, 2006 Very dramatic, I love it. I'd crop MOST of that wasted space on top to just above your head and re-post it. It will get a lot more positive ratings, as it should, as it will be stronger yet. Blessings, MS Link to comment
