It seems scene of a film dated in the 19th century or start of 20th century, showing to the collapse of the capitalism and the misery spread around the world.

Excellent work. Beautiful illumination, tones, model, subject... everything perfect.

Just what they all said, EXCELLENT! The only thing that stands out in my eye is the 'newer' looking hat. A little dirt would have helped perhaps (?). Other than that, very complete down to the dirty finger nails...wonderful, absolutely brillant.

The coloring and lighting are wonderful. The pose is okay. But in order to elicit a more sympathetic response from me to the subject, it needs less make-up and more actual dirt and grime. And the background draws away from the message as well.

When I watched "Cinderella Man," I remember feeling cheated when I left the theater. I thought that the director made the depression look like a Norman Rockwell painting, all those rosy cheeks and that cute dirt. So, I have to agree with Marc here. This is a tremendous image, don't get me wrong. Perfectly composed and exposed, beautiful make-up and styling. I couldn't hope to do this in my wildest dreams. On the one hand I love it, but, isn't a bit too much like a Hallmark card? Do you want to give us Oliver Twist as he was in the books (i.e desperately poor and pitiful) or as he is in the movies (poor, sure, but so damn cute that you just know nothing REALLY bad could ever happen to him)?

This is excellent. There is no way you can not stop to take a further look at this image. I really like the tones and such a great expression.

This is an absolutely wonderful image. I love it. If I had one nit to pick, it would be that the photo seems a bit over-sharpened, which conflicts with the subject matter. Otherwise, near perfection.
