I like a great deal of things in this image.

First and foremost, a subtle game of symmetries and asymmetries. The symmetric composition, the asymmetry in the position of the oars off the water and around her arms.

Then, the way the tight cropping enhances the feeling of trapped energy in the rower.

The backlighting works perfectly, here, and the starry efect onto the port oar is the so-called icing on the cake.
