sambal 0 Posted March 21, 2006 Good cityscape in winter. Conveys a real feeling of urban loneliness. Cheers, Sam. Link to comment
davidmalcolmson 0 Posted March 21, 2006 So many elements of a fine shot are present here that it is a great shame that the bulk of the figure in the foreground lets it down. A different camera angle might have made the composition less prosaic. Nevertheless the background, the light and the textures are very good. Best wishes, David Link to comment
dberryhill 3 Posted March 25, 2006 As much as I admire David's work, I don't agree with his critism of this. For me, with the lady, it has a very nice old photo look and feel, which is what I assume Michael was going for. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I think this is a great shot of Wacker Drive in the wintertime. It's interesting to see this usually-bustling area with only a solitary person in it. It looks like one of those days in the dead of winter when lots of us decide to stay home instead of braving the elements! Nicely done. Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted July 9, 2007 This picture, which has not received the sort of attention due it is so successful not just as an individual image, or even as a metaphor for the city of broad shoulders and freezing joints, but as a romantic poem of the city, a romance that a native indulges in when he can only see his city in images. cyanatic 0 Posted January 15, 2012 It's hard to believe that in all the time I have been on PN I have not come across the work of a talented photographer -- with shots of Chicago in his portfolio no less! Glad I came across you. Really like the feeling and view in this one. Link to comment
