Nice work, but if you took more exposition, you could create a drag effect in the river

Ahhh, yes, that approximation of flowing milk brought on by a long exposure. Why do some people have to reduce every picture to some cliche. (8^)

 

Interesting idea, but I have a feeling that Karen would not want to be here near dark. Unless she had some male accompaniment. (8^)

Glad someone else shares my penchant for naked trees, stark winter landscapes, and single-point perspective whose POV is subtly out of plumb, as though the landscape might pop off the screen at any moment. Placement of sky and clouds (which mirrors the water and banks of the brook) is especially effective here.
