lucyhollis 2 Posted March 21, 2006 The girls from a local school that we passed through on a 2 day trek between the Urubamba and Lares valleys. Their environment and living conditions may be harsh, but their smiles don't show it. Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Lucy Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted March 21, 2006 Nice familly shot. Well framed. It seems to me there is too much red and not enough green but it can depend of the colorimetric profils of our screens.Regards, Henri Link to comment
lucyhollis 2 Posted March 21, 2006 Hi Henri, You are right about the colour. The thing is, there really isn't much green in their world! The landscape at that time of year (September) is really dry and brown, and as you can see, their community colours are based on the rusty browns and reds. (Their shawls and hats signify the communities they are from, I can't imagine the sort of distance the girl with the yellow hat would have had to come from. We certainly didn't pass anywhere else in two days along the main path.) Link to comment
dchatter 0 Posted March 21, 2006 Very interesting and happy capture... I love the curiosity in their eyes. The composition works pretty nicely for me, the exuberance of red in their lives is a singular fact that you have presented here. Nice details and candid quality to this image. Looking forward to more posts from you. Best regards. Link to comment
