Hello Henri, this is a beautiful landscape. I always think it's worth getting up early when you see sights like this. The lighting is magical.

Patterns and shadows make a nice diagonal composition, the lighting is indeed very beautiful. Maybe it is the damp surface of grass and foliage, and the raising mist that makes the early morning so rewarding

Thank you Karsten. You are probably right. This is one of the question I often ask to me : What is there in the morning and evening hours which makes that we love them, in real and in photo, very much more than the other hours of the day ?

Tres beau paysage, Henri, belle diagonale et belles couleurs...le seul point difficile est le manque de matiere du ciel, consequence, bien sur, de la luminosite matinale...

 

Que penses-tu d'une version noir et blanc ou sepia, qui redonne au ciel presence et matiere ? juste une suggestion bien sur, histoire de travailler sur cette belle image...

Merci Jean-Pierre. Tu as raison, c'est d'ailleurs pourquoi j'ai reduit le ciel. J'aurais d'ailleurs pu le reduire encore plus, quite a couper dans la cime des sapins. J'ai fait une version noir & blanc (ici), mais je n'y ai pas modifie la densite du ciel (ne pas se fier a la mauvaise qualite de cette version, bien degradee par la compression jpg). J'aime bien ta version sepia.

There is something captivating about long shadows in a landscape. I'm not sure why, perhaps it is that desire to catch the last rays of the day. You've captured that quality. I do not get the same feeling from the BW or sepia.

Colours reflects the beauty nature bestows on earth. Lovely capture of the grasslands in the morning light.

Wonderful, interesting details like shadows, different shapes and colours in this picture. I love the sloop in the landscape and the view it gives to the hills in a distance. Very nice captured, Henri.
