blackdogstudio 1 Posted March 20, 2006 ...David, this is composed so beautifully. Your subject shows such great composure and calm, and the welcome given you is so cordial. Love the way how the foreground and background greenery frame your subject so well. Wouldn't it be special if you can capture both this white lion and the black jaguar in the same frame on a background of autumn leaves? David, I am curious. Do adult male white lions grow a mane like their African counterparts do, or is this a female or a young male? In any case, it is a superb photograph. Regards, Kelvin. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted March 20, 2006 David, I believe the dark green of background works well to create an unusual effect, makes subject really eyes catching, and excellent details & nice expression are amazing Too, feel so clear & beauty!!! Best regards. 7/7 Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted March 20, 2006 Thanks to all of you for your comments. Kelvin, this is a male. In the white lion, the mane grows very slowly. This is one of the 24 white lions in captivity. Link to comment
