Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted March 18, 2006 the girl in red skirt was photographed as it is moving behind the car, at 1/10 sec. Motion effect on the car and the road was added later in PS. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted March 18, 2006 Nice, but I think I might like it better without the manip. Without the PS it's a witty comment on the objectication of women and the sexification of cars. Don't know what the manip adds. Also, the motion effect on the road is unconvincing because the car is shot from a low angle so motion blur on the road would look like "/\" and not straight up and down. The car looks like it's floating in space rather than moving. Link to comment
stephen hazelton 3 Posted March 19, 2006 I think it would be a better shot with both girl and car sharp- or with girl sharp and car blurred due to a pan- the car is really incidental here, in my opinion- that could be a wheelbarrow or a washing machine back there. Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted March 19, 2006 Thank you Si Cliff and Pervaiz. And thanks for the detailed critique August and Stephen. Here is how the original imaged looked. Link to comment
k5083 1 Posted March 20, 2006 Yeah, as I expected, I do like the unretouched one better. The more I look at it the more I like the way you caught the model. You used the right shutter speed and you caught her at the right part of the step. There's enough definition in the right leg that we can tell she's hot, but enough blur that we aren't tempted just to check out the model and miss the comment that the picture is trying to make. That is not easy and it's well done here. Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted March 20, 2006 Alright August :) I think you made your point well and thanks again. I've replaced it with the original now. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted March 25, 2006 No wonder Bilal, I don't see any difference between the 2 images. Nice shot. Link to comment
