Great lighting and detail. Only thing is that some of the flowers seem to be a tiny bit out of focus. Good dof. Megan

I like lighting and shadows. Colors are great. It's true about flowers focusing, but it call more attention to the green center and the light point on it. Great work!

With that particular lens, I don't think I could get all of the flowers tack sharp and still diminish the background. I have not put this in for camera club competition because some of the flowers are soft, but I smile when I look at this image and that usually prompts me to see how photo.netter's like it. I do love the green center and the natural lighting on it.

Its true name is : Serapias lingua (Tongue Orchid), l'Albera, Sp.

This genus of 10 very similar species is quite chracteristic for the Med. S. lingua is a common species from the Iberian peninsula and NW Africa to Greece. Other species extend more eastward, and one or two also protrude northward (France).

His fotografia is precious, thanks for its commentary. Greetings.
