dmozzherin 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Jerry, very interesting and lively composition. I love how all the sandpipers are bound to one plane by the land in the shot, but also that they are not static at all, they are more like a moving living organism on this photo. It is amazing that you picked the moment when absolutely every bird here is in focus. Link to comment
jerry ting 1 Posted March 18, 2006 Thanks for stopping by. Dmitry, thanks for the compliments. This shot is not as easy as most people would think and I am glad that you notice the most important part here - to get all of them in focus. I took a lot of shots and gladly to find out a couple of them came out OK. Here is the technical data: Nikon D1X with AF Nikkor 300mm/f2.8 lens + Kenko Pro 2X converter. Set to manual focus mode. Exposure 1/500 sec at f2.8 with -0.7 EV. ISO 125. Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted March 18, 2006 Beautiful shot, you have a heck of a lot more over there than we have here.I found four paltry ones yesterday. Link to comment
