Hello Mark,

I noticed this shot in your folder when you posted the star and crescent moon.

I like the inconguity of the high heels in the muddy setting. Nice work, well observed.

It works for me. I like the contrast. Funny, as if her heels will lift her up out of the filth. Nice shot.

Interesting photo! documentarily in stlyle, and her expression is one of personalty! not sure if she is unhappy,or just in concentration. I would have liked to have the background in focus with more depth-of-field, or the background completely out of focus with less depth-of-field.The first choice would connect the women directly with her surroundings. The second choice would direct the viewer to the women without any distractions. (just a few thoughts shared) smiles from D.S.

Nice shot.Sophisticated looking lady walking in the mud with high heels on.This shot says a thousand words. It almost seem to me that this woman do not belong in the environment she is presently in.Great job Mark.

Mark, this is such a wonderful image for it's obvious contradictions. You have a very good eye (I would guess that your other eye is good too), and reflex in regards to all of the images in your portfolio.

I am glad to have found your work.

Regards, Todd

looks like I'm a little late to this party but better late than never right? As with the other commenters (is that a word?) love the contrast of the heels with the grime and grit of her surroundings (hard to tell on this version, but her facial expression does wonders as well). Nicely light and composed. rest of your porfolio deserves a nice long look as well but unfortunately I'm back to work so.. will visit again when I get the chance

I love the muted colors, and especially the feel of the picture. The contrast between subject and background gives it a lot of energy, which is welcome on the cold and wet morning that I'm faced with today.
