crtslex 0 Posted December 1, 2006 I really like this picture, even though I usually like to see more airplane. In 1944, if someone mentioned that German, Japanese, and American(?) fighters would be sitting on display, on a ramp, in a row, 63 years or so later, as airworthy stars of an airshow, with admiring aviation buffs oogling them, and with their combined monetary value being what it is, they'd be laughed at for sure. k5083 1 Posted December 1, 2006 Thanks for venturing the comment on this pic, Curt! Actually there is a Spitfire and a Mustang behind the Zero, so it was classic fighters from four countries. But your comment captures perfectly what I was thinking when I took the picture. A little later, the four flew together in a formation that, I don't think, ever occurred before or since. A memorable moment. Link to comment
