I took this years ago near Mono Lake, CA. I have always liked it but

have never had a great deal of input (good or bad) on it. It's

interesting how images we see one way are seen by others a totally

different way. I'd like to know what you see in this image.

Tom, This one is actually one of my favourites of your current posts. It grabbed my attention for a couple of reasons: The foreground treatment is good because the foreground is rather uninteresting and you've included just enough of it to provide a base for your composition, & for some reason the feeling of the mass of the hill comes through. Perhaps your inclusion of only a portion of it and the amount of sky framing the left side and top has something to do with it. Also, the side lighting by the sun nicely defines the shape & texture of it. Patches of snow which break up it's darker mass throughout don't hurt either. Some thoughts you requested. Best, LM.
