I think that this is the work of genius. I am in awe of your talent. 7/7, that's what I think.

This is a stunning shot! The composition is very compelling. If one were to concentrate on the shapes alone, it is poetic, with the fence splitting the two tonal values. I like this very much. Regards, Todd

Mooi om te zien hoe strak die lijnen elkaar kruisen. Dat vind ik bijzonder. Zoiets zie je niet zo snel in een landschap. Knap dat jij het wel zag Els. Maar ook al vind ik het strakke lijnenspel mooi, het geheel knap gezien en perfect genomen, toch benauwd dit beeld me. Het is hier zo levenloos, zo grauw. Geen boompje, geen wolkje, geen koetje op de dijk, zelfs geen molshoopje in het talud te bekennen.

 

Mijn gevoel zegt; wegwezen hier! Ik sta er zelf versteld van dat een onschuldige foto als deze zulke beklemmende gevoelens bij me kan oproepen.

 

Nou lieve Els, geen leuk commentaar dit keer. Hoewel ik de foto op zich hartstikke goed vind, echt waar.

This is so simple it's complicated and beautiful and full of movement. Yes, movement. Outstanding work.

This is about lines, and shapes, and tones...surprizing how the B&W carries the image so well. It may be silent, but it is strong....

...but simply&elegant.

Lieve Ada, ja eigenlijk bestaat dit soort perfectionisme niet, en het kan heel angstaanjagend zijn, maar je kan het ook als heel zuiver/puur bekijken. De ultieme vorm van rust. geen chaos..... snap je dat een beetje?

Silent? No, Els, it speaks volumes. I like the simplicity of it, which works even with the horizon right across the middle. In fact, I'm not sure that it would have worked anywhere else in this case.

Els, dank je wel voor je begripvolle reactie en ik snap wat je bedoelt. Als foto is ie gewoon fantastisch en ik zou willen dat ik hem rustig zou kunnen bekijken. Gewoon puur zoals ie is. Mooie lijnen die elkaar op bepaalde punten snijden en zo een rustig, kalmerend en geordend beeld opleveren. Maar ik kan bij deze foto dat benauwende bijna angsaanjagende gevoel van leegte dat er bij me opkomt niet wegdrukken. Ik kan er blijkbaar niet zo naar kijken als al die andere mensen hier. Ik heb dat gevoel wel vaker. Krijg het ook als ik door een polderlandschap rijd. Zo'n eindeloos lange rechte weg met niets anders dan aan weerzijde een uitgestrekte groene vlakte met in geen velden of wegen een teken van leven te bekennen. Alsof ik in een soort niets ben beland. Angst voor de grote leegte, het niets, angst voor de dood misschien? Ik weet het niet. Maar vat mijn commentaar alsjeblieft niet op als een negatieve beoordeling van je werk. Laten we het er maar op houden dat ik een kronkel heb en niet zo'n kleintje ook.

Goedemorgen meer dan lieve Ada, ik vat je commentaar helemaal niet negatief op, in tegendeel, ik vind dat jij altijd zeer prachtige en bijzondere comments geeft. En het is wel grappig dat je zegt dat je een kronkel hebt (ik heb er veeeeeeeeeeeele en ben er blij mee) Prachtig woord: kronkel bij deze foto vind je niet? hahahahaha, groetjes Els ;D

silent and calm and minimalist..I love it...(just I thought-maybe, litle bit crop from after the first right pole and litle bit from down...the right pole can break out of the photo... more silent :)-)...with love...
