robertbrown 1 Posted March 12, 2006 I chose a very narrow DOF here and I like what it has done to the purple areas, but is enough of the orange part in focus? Link to comment
seadrift 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Perfect amount of focus, fine composition, dynamic and full of energy Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted March 12, 2006 I think what lets you succeed here is that the rear part of the orange tips are blurred with only the front orange tips in focus. It's nearly perfect. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 13, 2006 You're right, this must be viewed larger. Terrific abstract with the focal point perfectly placed. Just enough detail to tell us what it is without preventing our imaginations from having their way. I think this might work equally well as a vertical. This is a nice addition to your intimate landscapes group! http://www.robertobrownphotography.com/-/robertobrownphotography/gallery.asp?cat=16255&pID=1&row=15 Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted March 16, 2006 Richard, Mark, Laurie, thanks for stopping by. I was pretty happy with how this turned out. Laurie, please don't encourage me to spend the spring chasing after flower macros--it's hard on my back! Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted March 16, 2006 Some types of suffering can be exquisite, others just a pain in the back. Link to comment
