garydad 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Nice shot Therese! I like both shots in your Eastern Maryland folder. The only thing I might suggest here would be to straighten the horizon and to prehaps compose so the subject isn't in the middle. That being said...I still love it. Link to comment

therese 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Gary and Alec, thanks for your comments. Gary I tend to agree with your comments. Part of me wanted to see if keeping it in the middle would work. It was hard to do other compositions without making it too small and I wanted to emphasize it's size and condition which meant making it as large as possible in the frame and then contrast it's color against the foreground. I like this barn cause it seems to me that it was so strong and good in its day that it is defying the ravages of time and weather, insisting on going out in quiet and tranquil dignity with its still red painted sides. jmcconnell2 0 Posted November 25, 2006 I`m 63 years old, so I was around when this barn was in pristine condition. I love this shot, the golden colors of the fg complement the colors of the barn, and the hazy trees make a perfect bg. I think cropping some off of right side, closer to the barn, would give a less centered look, as it is now, it seems a bit stiff. Link to comment
cyrus khamak 0 Posted December 12, 2006 Yes, I agree with Jim and his comment. The tilt doesn't bother me much specially if the camera was rotated to the left a tad. I love it the way it is too but I think the big patch of grass on the lower right corner may have to go. Cheers. Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted January 28, 2007 On the other hand, the center is not all bad. I do love the coloring and texture in this. Jim and I both know what old barns are-being as I am also 63. Must have been a good year, eh? Link to comment
