Guest Guest Posted March 11, 2006 i would have liked it a lot if you had used grey tones.it would have been similar to some of Michael Kenna's.give it a try,I think it's worth it. www.michaelkenna.net Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 11, 2006 way better in b&w.I hope my critique didn't upset you.it was just my personal opinion.and if you go there at dawn or dusk and you find a beautiful sky then you can take a great photo.6/6 for the b&w.And I've seen your other photos.very nice portofolio.congratulations Link to comment
gerry_bridge1 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Must admit I don't mind the B&W version. As I've said many times on this site I'm really not a big fan of B&W although I'm always open to suggestion! Thank you for your comments. Link to comment
gerry_bridge1 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Thank you for your comments. Guess I should post a few more B&W's in future! Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 15, 2006 Gerry, I think that the B/W version is accentuating the image better in this case, I like the gradation of colors from FG.to BG. and the minimalistic forms, works well. Pnina Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 16, 2006 I prefer the b&w version, too. The original has such strong form/lines that it works well. Simple and effective. Link to comment
gerry_bridge1 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Thank you both for your comments. Have to admit the B&W verion is growing on me! Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted April 1, 2006 Well, I like them both, but the B&W does seem to have some added oomph. Link to comment
kleintje 0 Posted April 12, 2006 I find it an intruiging, strangely mirrored image which on first sight gave me the impression it could have been upside down... Since the light blue in the sky is the only obvious colour in the image (the colour in the bottom are softer and less obvious), I tend to find the b&w version a little more appealing. Link to comment
