thomas_turk 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Great contrast of background to subject. Exposure purrrfect, specially his top. Natural relaxed pose, not staring at cam. Me no complain, as they say in Thailand. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Thanks Kathy, hi Thomas, long time no see. Nice to receive a rare compliment coming from you. Really appreciate your coming over here. Hope you are well. Link to comment
robidooo 0 Posted March 10, 2006 Very nice sharpess for this portrait. Composition is good but not perfect to me. I think it is because of the angle of his body that I have this feeling. Anyways, it is really minor. Finally, I find that it is maybe a little too dark. But I would not change the background. Link to comment

frank_melchior 0 Posted March 11, 2006 Nice study, it does look like a painting. Have you played with a watercolor filter with this image? I bet it would look excellent. I can't wait until my D200 arrives. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted March 11, 2006 Thanks Stephane, Kaushik, Frank I'll try that and see if it works. Enjoy your D200. Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted March 11, 2006 Excellent use of DOF here Alec. It makes for a good separation and a very natural portrait Link to comment

therese 0 Posted March 12, 2006 Lighting and pose emphasize the tension between being calmly pensive while being aware and engaged and ready to act. This is not a passive man. I love it. Link to comment
mrstubbs 0 Posted November 21, 2006 Well worth coming back for another look. This is very nice Alec. And a very steady hand I think! Well made. Link to comment
