Walking The Line

I was tired of having my yellowish winter grass for the background,

so I adjusted the color balance and levels until it looked like the

sky. The only thing done to the water was a couple of sunflower

seeds were cloned out of it.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad someone else likes it as well as I do, Rafik. It's doing quite poorly in the rating game and I was beginning to think it was more just average than I originally thought it was.

Scott, the background is great. So often I see crappy BG alterations, even here on photo.net. This BG alteration is completely seemless. Well done.

 

Don't worry too much about the rating game. I posted some average photos of a Red-capped Robin a couple of weeks ago and they did well. The following week I posted better photos of the same species and they did not rate as well. As a result, I am now of the opinion that timing is a really important factor in getting good ratings.

Thanks, Jon. I agree 100%. I've had very similar experiences. I must've picked a good time a couple of days ago to upload my last 3 pics, since they're all doing so well. A shot of a dog being on the first page of the top photos is unheard of. I bet if I resubmitted it, it would be on at least page 10. I don't think I will though. :)

Your dog is very good. It deserves to be on page one.
