The Duckling 5 - one down

This is probably going to sound really silly when I say it, but here goes anyway: They look so happy! The curve of the beak makes it look like they are smiling.

What fun, and a pleasant change of pace from the typical nature study type of shot. I really do like this.

If I may add to Jim's comment. Ducks always look as if they are smiling... even the ones that have been roasted and have a hook through their neck... You see a lot of those in Hong Kong... I will try to photograph some soon and post on P.N.

Yes, they certainly looked happy and possibly they were because swimming in our large pool must have felt better than swimming in that very very little pond of theirs. Unfortunately, after we had finally - after chasing them for about half an hour - fished them out of the pool - giving them and us a lot of stress - we noticed this green-black spots on the bottom of the pool. Took us another half hour to get rid of...
