cherlyn 1 Posted March 6, 2006 Hope you all are not tired of my desert pictures. I was sitting on the camel in front of this desert troop, swinging with the momentum of the camel's gallop, turn my back, hold the camera with one hand, the other hand have to grip tightly to the camel strap, and got this close up the best I could. Feedback most welcome. Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted March 6, 2006 Is like watching a movie, But not sure of the title.Very good DOF and Composition. Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted March 6, 2006 Hi Cherlyn :)I wish there was more space above the guy's head. The photo seems to 'end' abruptly. Also, could you reduce the red a bit? It looks a touch oversaturated. An interesting shot, though!Best regards from Kenya,Mark Anthony Kathurima Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted March 6, 2006 Hanna, the ride was bumpy resulting in a 'pained' buttocks. Mark, I too wish there are more space above the riders' heads but alas, I can't go back & take the shot again. At theat moment, I have no spare hand to adjust the lenn's angle. Link to comment

paula grenside 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Fascinating, Cherlyn; it made me think of the movie: Tea in the Desert- full of atmosphere. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 7, 2006 Very well taken, considering the wind and the sand. How did you managed to keep your camera clean? This is like from the movie 'Sahara'. Link to comment
omerk 0 Posted March 7, 2006 Very original work. As soon as I saw the thumbnail I thought the heads close to the top though. But this being out of ordinary circumstances justifies the framing. I gotto try taking pictures from horse, camel and elephant tops as well :) Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted March 10, 2006 Cherlyn, I'm really late, butI join the others, I like the covered face....( that how we were looking at the Mali desert....)you have succeeded in giving the desert atmospher, the winds and dust are bluring the vision, so the bit blurred convey looks right at the desert landscape, the colors and composition are nice as well. Guest Guest Posted March 10, 2006 Good composition, especially given the precarious nature of your shooting position. I do feel that this is a little oversaturated for my taste though. The oversaturation detracts from the natural, easygoing feel of the shot. Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted March 12, 2006 The composition is very nice and offer a beautiful perspective. Well done. Link to comment
