billfoster 0 Posted March 8, 2006 As soon as I crossed the border into KY, i came across something I had never seen in America before. There were local elections going on and EVERY SINGLE corner had about twenty signs on it. This was actually a subdued one. At some palces, there were as many as 50 or 60 signs, mostly hand-painted. Elections signs I've seen plenty of, but I've never seen this many or for so many small offices (deputy, coroner, dog-catcher, etc.) Link to comment
rebeccaciborowski 0 Posted March 8, 2006 I like that the colors of the signs are brought out by the black and white of the background... but I'm curious - was it intentional to put a shadow on the Creekmore sign? It does draw attention to the words; "young", "chance", and "more"... so it may very well have been intentional. I'm not sure if I like that shadow or not. Surely, if it's intentional to have it be there - it will become more likeable to me. Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted March 8, 2006 Well, if it's more likeable to you, then it's intentional! :-) Unfortunately, this was on a really busy corner and I stood in the only place I could shoot without getting run over! I wanted the telephone pole on the left side of the frame, but didn't even notice the shadow actually. Thanks for your kind ocmments. Link to comment
rebeccaciborowski 0 Posted March 8, 2006 Well, even though it wasn't an intentional shadow - given the difficulty level of the photo (as in - not getting run over), I'd say it's still a great photo... and - you can always tell people you did it on purpose to bring out the potency of the words young, chance, and more ;) Link to comment
