Harlow, thanks very much for your critique. IMO the background is an integral part of the habitat of this tiny bird. You aimlessly look around in that environment & suddely see something blueish that's moving. I've attached the original photo out of which I've cropped the one you've been looking at. It's par tof it's natural defence to sort of confuse the eye of the observer. That's my two cents. Cheers, Sam.
