jeffsutton 0 Posted March 5, 2006 A very nice photo. My only quibble is with the people, I would have taken them out as I think it detracts from the strong geometry of the shot. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 6, 2006 Wow! Great work, Alexandre. My reaction to the people is the exact opposite of Jeffrey's. I think they are absolutely essential, to give a sense of scale, to add interest and a sense of place, and to show who built this monumental structure. I like the colors here, too. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 6, 2006 I agree Chris' point of view. People are good for the scale even if the three banks could give it. Another very well composed one! Link to comment
ruinog 0 Posted March 7, 2006 The most pictured bridge in Europe! I do like the prespective here. Quite original. Link to comment
sabina dorneanu 0 Posted March 8, 2006 The white strings making those fine drawings over the blue sky are fabulous. The silhouettes are very nice. I would also like to see a similar horizontal pic, a wide one. Beautiful work, Alex! Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted March 8, 2006 Thanks everyone for your points of view and comments, much appreciated. Sabina, I have a horizontal framing of this bridge in b&w somewhere in my portfolio, if interested. Link to comment
marcsamson 0 Posted March 8, 2006 Great composition and perspective. Good coloration all around. The 2 people in the near foreground are visible. Should they be removed...? If an architecture pic, I would say yes, if a landscape pic, I would say no. Great picture overall! Regards, Marc. Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted March 9, 2006 Marc, I always have a lot of trouble when choosing a category for the critique forum. Anyway, generally I like to include some living elements in my photos whenever possible, that's why here I decided to keep the people there. Thanks for passing by. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted March 11, 2006 Excellent composition! Great angle, wonderful colourtones, beautiful sky. I only would have cropped the picture just a little bit more (3 mm)at the bottom without loosing the benches because I think they are an interesting detail in the composition because of the rule they play to get an impression of the dimensions of the bridge. I like the people in the shot; for a landscape picture they make it less static. Warm greetings, Ada. Link to comment
sigfridlopez 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Very clean, with beautiful lines against a saturated blue sky. Excellent. Link to comment
