pjmeade 12 Posted March 4, 2006 Hello Maria, I like your new work. Was this another class? Pete Link to comment
maria 7 Posted March 4, 2006 Hi, thanks for the visit and the comment. No, its no new class, is the same on "Spaces of Encounter" (Libeskind) but new scans (from the negative, not from prints). The "class" (seminar) was in 2001 ... But I am now also uploading because I want to write a scientific paper based on this research. Unfortunately for the Rhenanian photographic competition my photos on this topic were not selected :( ciao Maria Link to comment
maria 7 Posted March 12, 2006 I've read that (in A-C. Schultz, doctoral dissertation), according to Chinese philosophy, a space is a place to be entered and to be left, an "active medium" in which there is life. In a scenographic approach a space could be expressed through the door to it, that very place to enter and respectively to leave it. And if we think of the metaphor of the stars, the light of which takes long to reach us, so when a star existed we did not see it, now when we see it, it doesn't exist anymore, as the poet Eminescu said, then the light of the life in a space may reach us in a similar way: we see it today, and we could rediscover it even if it is life of the past. Thanks for looking and reading Maria Link to comment
