cocasana 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Always playing with B/W conversions. What about this one? Thanks Link to comment
cocasana 0 Posted March 3, 2006 Thanks Claude, thanks Lazar. Claude, could it be that your monitor is a bit dark? I've just calibrated mine and -to my eyes- it doesn't look dark at all. But, as we know its very subjective! Link to comment
gluteal cleft 0 Posted March 3, 2006 FWIW, I'm looking at it on a calibrated CRT, which doesn't have the shadow detail of my LCDs, and I think that a bit more exposure on the far side of the face might help with the mood. Normally I would say keep it dark and go for contrast, but the far side of his face seems to express even more emotion (anger?) than the close side. Link to comment
reprint 0 Posted March 4, 2006 I also find it a little dark but i think its more a matter of taste. He does look angry or upset to me because of the shadow across the eyes. The hair framing the eyes also intensifies the stare. Having said that, it does engage me which any good photo should. Link to comment

roylohr 0 Posted March 9, 2006 The village of O has beautiful children. The bluring on the shoulder with the lighting is great. Link to comment
