The Dogon county is situated on a mountain range the "Fallais" that are streching along 250 km. The road is nearly impossible even with 4x4 vehicles. They have a special culture.

While visiting them, They have prepard tribal dances with musks and other symbols of their culture, that were later explained to us. Each musk and symbol has a meaning. One of the most interesting places in Mali.

Thanks for your impressions, Pnina

I like the composition on this too Pnina, something we probably wouldn't notice in a full sized image of him... excellent and colourful details. Do they touch the ground with their hands during the dance?

Peta, No, if I remember right, they dance with all sort of totems, musks, sticks etc. they are seating on the ground but not while they are dancing.

All three images are wonderful! I'm glad you uploaded the image of the dancers. I think you ought to consider uploading the photo of the mask, too. Although, I would have to agree that this is the best of the three. I like that the image is only of the hands ... the ring and the rough texture of the hands and nails works very well. I also love the colors!

Wonderful folder that I missed when uploaded. This shot is fantastic. A close up that gives all the colour and flavour. I can, even, smell and feel the dust and heat. A great document. Congratulations
