jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Great shot, nice detail and texture, great DOF. Link to comment
kctwain 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Really nice, Kim. I really like the tight crop on this one. Good background...you're always very good about projecting your subject forward from any clutter or distractions. Focus is right on, too. Well done. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 28, 2006 Thanks, guys. Keith, a bad background can ruin any shot in a big hurry, so I try to move my position, if necessary, to get the best angle. Of course, sometimes you just have to take what you can (especially with birds) and try to do something later. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 28, 2006 I love the DOF on this one. And, for some reason, in this one, I don't mind that he's facing the other way. The close crop works very well!! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 28, 2006 I like the white part on his head - reminds me of a teddy bear! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 28, 2006 I love the detail and dramatic markings of pelicans. Comments? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 28, 2006 There really is NO challenge to getting pelican shots here, Howard. When the shrimp boats come in, they are around by the dozens! They are such clumsy characters! Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted February 28, 2006 Yes, this is the best I have seen in this kind of portrait, also love the light, sharpness, very natural of the colors & nicely cropping, well done Kim!!! Congrats. Link to comment
cjrupp 0 Posted February 28, 2006 Another beautiful image Kim, love how the beak leads to the eye and that cuddly white head. Great lens work. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted March 1, 2006 It's hard to keep the white from getting blown out, especially when there is a dark, contrasting color on the same bird. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted March 1, 2006 Kim,this is a superb image. I admire the composition, light and details. Link to comment
markboyer 0 Posted March 1, 2006 Terrific. I wouldn't have thought the crop would work as well as it does. Detail is impressive. Link to comment
