This image is quite excellent. What lens did you use? Must've been quite wide or, like I did to get about the same width view, a mini-pan with a longer focal length lens. Colors are beautiful. Very different than what I got in the early afternoon in direct sunlight, I got very green water.

jim, it was indeed extreme wide angle, i had a 10-20mm sigma lense using 10mm in this photo (effective 15mm on my d70) and was standing at the very edge, which for many people looks quite scaring. to get a reasonbly uniform illumination of the canyon, i waited until the sun was covered
