manuelbayo1 0 Posted February 27, 2006 Wonderful seascape, Jana, congrats. Did you use blue filter or the cool cast is result of PS manipulation? Link to comment
jana 1 Posted February 27, 2006 Thank you for your kind comments. The blue colour is what is recorded, no filter, no manipulation. cheers Jana Link to comment

ivan colman 0 Posted February 28, 2006 Great, suggestive "landscape" photo. Indeed the room for suggestion and viewers fantasy makes photography interesting. Link to comment

jana 1 Posted March 3, 2006 How do you feel about this mighty rock, that refused to be pulverized into the smooth black sand? Standing there facing the mighty ocean? Thanks jana Link to comment

kickniko 0 Posted March 31, 2006 How I feel, well, quite deep in thoughts since coincidental natural chaos is indeed able to create structure and information, like for example this rock, though we tend to believe in some "higher beings" and similar things, who of course don't have anything better to do than creating beauty for us, where in reality we simply find beatiful what *is* out there because of the thousends of years of evolution in similar surroundings. But the main subject is your extraordinary photo, Jana, that seems to contain all hues of blue. Especially the blueish mist at the basis of the rock is perfectly captured since it lets the backdround shine also blueish, but doesn't hide it from the eyes of the observer. Another big plus is that the rock and the shore is kept in black. Many will say that this is a minus because there are not much details to see there, but who said that all parts of a photography have to be detailed? I find that black embedded in that blue much more expressive than a detailed rock texture in this case. This black is an enhancement of the question that you put. On the other hand the sea has myriads of different blues and its surface offers so much to observe in all levels of observation. Small surface distortions, vortex-like shapes, waves, it's all there. This is a photo that invides for exploration and I have the feeling that whenever I look, I see something new, something different. Congratulations Jana and just keep it up! Link to comment
