Just Playing.

Feedback appreciated.

Should there be anyone looking for my more daring work, you can always do a search for me on photopoints or photosig where I have uploaded some new images along with some of my deleted images. I am sure to be uploading more soon.

true obsession would have you either stacking these into pyramids or turning them to where all the tabs are pointing in the same direction.

Photo wise, I like this very much especially the dark upper corners.

Knicki, Don't tell anyone but I thought about it.

It's always a pleasure when you stop by!

Hi David, neat idea, I like how there's sufficient space between each tin to introduce a good tonal contrast. The 'uniformity of tabs' idea could have merit, I think the concept would then appeal to both sides of the brain (?) but that would depend really on whether you wished to conform to the dictates of the rational - or decided to honour the spontaneous as here.

Speaking of brains, I hope yours was not too damaged after imbibing all this. Cheers.

Seven, Thanks for the feedback. I don't think I have any rules when deciding whether to conform or not. I do like the idea of taking boring subjects and make them look interesting.

Interesting comment about my brain. This was a precursor to a theme I have been working on which required the consumption of even more cans. I will probably upload those images next week. (I haven't taken them all yet!)

It is also interesting that you are assuming these are empty beer cans. From the photograph these could be anything..... maybe it is the title.

It gives me great joy to see you back into beer again. I have to try something like this in platinum. Well done as usual.

Thanks again Owen. I never have been away from beer. I just haven't photographed it for a while. I will be posting more beer pictures in a few days or so. I hope you will enjoy them too.

I can't wait to see your platinum pictures on the subject.

Looks like lots of "Empty Busch" cans there, David:)

Regarding the tabs, I like the lack of uniformity in the final resting position after opening. I guess I think of something like opening a can being done the same way each time by any one person. I'm seeing two different people having consumed these beers. Seriously, if you look nearly every tab is in one of two final resting positions.

A surprisingly fun image to look at with lots going on to keep one's attention. My attention anyway.

Thanks Jamie! I am glad you remember the 'Busch' can. I don't remember if you commented on that picture. I did manage to rescue a lot of the debate from Google Cache but I did not see your name there. Oh well!

To this photograph... What you say about the rings on the cans is interesting. I can assure you they were all opened by me and consumed by me. Sometimes we have to make sacrafices for art.

More to come! Thanks again.

David, I think I like the randomness here, and the light too. But this is probably not an obsession for me just yet... but that depends on the interpretation of the word in the context of this shot... obsession is inextricably tied to an idea of being unreasonable, and that deficiency of reason is not yet very stark to me :))

Nevertheless, very, very original as always. Cheers!!

Debasish, Thanks for the comment. I guess I am questioning my capacity to drink a lot. This does seem to be a bit of an obsession for me. There will be more photographs on this theme uploaded soon.
